**Job Advert Summary**:
**Purpose of the position**:
Responsible for project book-keeping as well as reporting and administration projects under their control.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Certificate/diploma in bookkeeping or financial administration
- 3 years’ experience within financial accounting or administration related environment
- Intermediate level Excel skills
- Clear criminal record
- Proficiency in Microsoft packages

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Reporting, Claims and Budgeting**
- Weekly funder claim compilation
- Responsible for monthly expense claims for submission to the provincial government or other funders
- Responsible for monitoring budget vs actual costs and follow up on variances
- Responsible for funder report compilation
- Ensure that reports and claims meet the organisation and funder’s quality standards
- Prepares ad hoc reports, reconciliations and analysis as required
- Assist with budget preparation and proposal submission

**Project Accounting**
- Ensures accuracy and completeness of project revenue and expenses under their control
- Reconciles provincial government or other funders claims against budget and accounting records
- Assists with the preparation and execution of the annual audit
- Assists with account management for all creditors
- Provides oversight and compliance on project debit cards and staff claims
- Assists with cash-flow management
- Other duties may be assigned

**Stakeholder management**
- Maintains and builds relationships with external stakeholders (funders, government, auditors)
- Maintains and build relationships with internal stakeholders (programme staff, other support units, field staff)
