To ideate and formulate tactical strategies in line with the divisions overall strategy, delivering an annual project plan against which the operation must deliver to introduce and maintain systems and procedures for payroll efficiency such as timely payments, payroll taxes and employee benefits to provide leadership into organisational work to strengthen operational systems, processes and risk management consistent with a more decentralized way of working to deliver payroll services globally for FirstRand.
Are you someone who can:
- Encourage platform and design thinking principles, where customers transact on a single platform across the payroll function.
- Manage team performance in achievement of business objectives.
- Develop, encourage and nurture collaborative relationships across area of specialization.
- Manages risks in own area of responsibility.
- Compile reports that track progress and guide business to make informed decisions.
- Ensure development and continuous value add improvement to operational processes.
- Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation.
- Provide input into the budget and manage and report on budget usage that reflects delivery of planned work within agreed parameters.
- Control expenditure and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs.
- Lead the overall Payroll Input and Execution team across FirstRand.
- Ensure the development and implementation of multiple practices in alignment with operational policy and procedural frameworks.
- Deliver customer experience through a deliberate service management strategy.
- Qualification: Bcom or relevant degree
- Experience: 10 years relevant experience
