**Job Purpose**: Provincial Treasury, Western Cape Government has an employment opportunity for a suitably qualified competent individual to ensure accurate and complete recording of transactions as required by Generally Recognised Accounting Practice(GRAP), conformance with applicable financial laws and regulations, assessing going concern through financial health assessments(LGMTEC 3) and also promoting good governance through capability maturity models (MGRO).This post is based in Cape Town, CBD.
**Minimum Requirements**:
**Recommendation**:
Working knowledge and experience in the following: Generally, Recognised Accounting Practice (GRAP); Municipal Standard Chart of Accounts (mSCOA); Project management.

**Competencies**:
Knowledge of the following: Municipal accounting systems; Skills needed: Computer literacy, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project Management Tools); Analytical skills; Project management; Communication (written and verbal); Presentation; Research; Negotiation skills; Ability to work under stress; Ability to manage many tasks simultaneously; Innovation.

**Remuneration**: All-inclusive salary package of R 811 560 per annum (Salary Level 11) Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees' service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
