Advertising Specialist: Paid Media

We are seeking a dynamic Marketeer who will be responsible for managing Ackermans’ paid media initiatives across all digital platforms. This role ensures campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and meet performance KPIs. The specialist will collaborate closely with the paid media agency and internal teams to ensure adherence to the media strategy and implement innovative, creative ideas to drive success.
We're a fully in-office team, based at our Support Centre in Kuils River, Cape Town.
**So, what will you do?**
**Agency Management**
- Act as the main point of contact for the paid media agency.
- Ensure the agency adheres to the approved paid media strategy and provides actionable insights.
- Review media plans, provide feedback, and ensure timely execution.
**Campaign Management**
- Plan, manage, and execute all paid media campaigns across CFE and commercial categories.
- Ensure campaigns are implemented on time, within the allocated budget, and meet set KPIs.
- Monitor campaign performance and recommend optimizations to maximize ROI.
- Align campaign strategies and objectives with cross-departmental goals.
**Creative Collaboration**
- Partner with internal and external teams to develop innovative campaign concepts.
- Bring creative ideas to life, ensuring alignment with the brand's tone, visual identity, and strategic objectives.
**Performance Monitoring & Reporting**
- Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance, ensuring actionable insights are shared with stakeholders.
- Prepare post-campaign analyses to guide future strategy and planning.
- Maintain budget tracking and provide regular updates on spend versus forecast.
**Process & Relationship Management**
- Oversee the end-to-end campaign process, from briefing to execution and reporting.
- Ensure smooth collaboration between marketing, commercial, and creative teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders to enhance alignment and delivery.
**What experience and qualification is required?**
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ paid media management, ideally within retail or an agency environment.
- Proven expertise in managing and optimizing campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, and DV360.
- Strong understanding of the digital marketing landscape, media mix strategy, and performance metrics.
- Experience working with and managing external agencies.
- Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing or related field.

**KNOWLEDGE**required**:
- Knowledge of digital channels i.e. web, digital media, social media, USSD, SMS, E-Mailers and Apps
- Knowledge of digital industry, trends, tools and techniques and the integration thereof
- Know best practice in digital to advise and influence decision-makers about the digital initiatives, priorities and opportunities. Specifically around UX ,SEO and Web based CMS
- Knowledge of digital reporting and various analytical tools
