Professional Driver

Professional Driver to have the following:

- Proficient in English as well as other African language/s
- Well-mannered and presentable
- Trustworthy and reliable
- Must work well with others, be a team player
- Professional towards co-workers, staff and any other stakeholders

**Duties**:

- To drive staff and patients over short and/or long distances
- Messenger and package delivery duties for the company as well as similar duties
- Look after vehicle (by keeping it washed and cleaned, ensure service is done timeously, ensure safety of himself, passengers as well as vehicle at all times)
- Ensure that the vehicle is always fuelled and ready for use
- Keep and update travel logs daily
- Must be willing to work flexible hours which can be late/early hours as well as occasionally weekends and holidays as and when required
- Report instances where you believe you will receive a fine or when you receive from a

traffic official for the vehicle or yourself
- You must have very effective organizational and communication skills to service our

clientele efficiently;
Interact with clients professionally at all times

Other deliverables to note:

- Manage your personal financial affairs in a way that does not affect our company negatively;
- Be punctual to work and all appointments;
- No loud music will be allowed. Ensure that the traffic report is listened to regularly and the default radio settings is to this requirement;
- Know the common speed trap areas, regular routes, traffic peaks and dips. Traffic trends on days, months and seasons e.g. School holidays, rainy weather
- Provide office staff (drivers & / passengers) with advice on the latest Re: Traffic that could possibly affect travel, delivery and lifestyle;
- Must be a mature, respectful and honest person of high integrity that is able to work in a team and make meaningful contributions to the team objective;
- Must clearly demonstrate ability and willingness to articulate our ethics and values while at work and out of work, as a living testimony of the organization’s commitment to sustainable community transformational development;
- Good communication and sound report-writing skills will be an added advantage.
- Should demonstrate respect for culture, religion, and rights of our staff, patients and all stakeholders ; as well as ability to work in a multicultural setting.
- Should be quick in understanding, keen in taking instructions, and able to work with minimum supervision
- Should be willing, ready and able to perform other duties as delegated to him/her by the immediate supervisor
- Vigilance to be applied in the care taking of the car e.g. washing but understanding security measures which could pose a risk e.g. hijacking, theft etc.
- Understanding the tracker system and anti-hijacking awareness
- Understand that safety is not reduced to the driver only, but that of the passengers, vehicle and public
- Attire to be professional (formal shirt, trouser, jacket) and conduct to be modest, vigilant and helpful;
- Answering of cell phones whilst driving will result in disciplinary and may lead to dismissal;
- Traffic fines will be for the drivers own account unless in an emergency;
- Self-manage and maintain professionalism under stress, high traffic and short delivery duration;
- Have a sense of urgency to deliver goods and assist with optimizing time;
- Plan the most efficient and safe route to reach the destination, taking into account traffic conditions, weather, and road closures;
- Follow safety protocols, including wearing seat belts, using turn signals, and obeying speed limits;
- Need to ensure all vehicle licenses are up to date and that you check all vehicles;
- Be prepared to work in various weather conditions and adapt to different routes or schedules as needed
- Ensuring patients arrive safely and punctually at their destination.
- Proactive response to any emergency.

**Requirements**:

- Matric or equivalent education level
- Code 10 with up-to-date PDP
- Clean criminal record
- Clean Credit Record
- 5 years or more similar experience
- Contactable references

**Salary**:
Negotiable depending on experience

License/Certification:

- License with valid PDp (required)
