- Interpret the technical scope of critical projects (related to the built environment), and oversee quality output (from design to testing/commissioning) according to agreed user requirement specifications (URSs) or the real estate strategy of the company.
- Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance in the systems or equipment, and report on predictive sub-system failure, to enhance system capability (using proactive preventative techniques).
- Critically interpret WIs and drawings concerning construction, alterations/modifications, enhancement maintenance and specialist projects.
- Consult or engage stakeholders towards the drawing or preparation of URSs and/or scope of work (SOW) for project and maintenance of fire-related systems/equipment.
- Work closely with external engineering contractors and supporting specialists towards optimisation of technology and enhancements of system efficiencies through service level agreements (SLAs).

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- a National Diploma in Engineering;
- registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA); as Fire Protection System Practitioner and
- at least five years of job-related experience after obtaining professional registration.
