Our client is looking for a dynamic Health and Safety Officer to join their team in Atlantic Hills, Cape Town. The Health and Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring the health and safety of all employees in the workplace. This includes developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, conducting safety inspections, and investigating accidents. The Health and Safety Officer must be a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct safety inspections and identify hazards.
- Investigate accidents and incidents.
- Recommend and implement safety improvements.
- Provide training on health and safety.
- Maintain safety records and reports.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure that safety is a priority.

**Skills**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Must be well-spoken, polite, and driven and that can think for themselves.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in health and safety.
- Must be familiar with large construction sites.
- Must be proficient to hold site meetings and be registered with the health and Safety certificates.
- Must have own transport

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 3 months

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelors (preferred)

**Experience**:
