for a committed Health and Safety Officer to join our team and assist us in upholding the highest
standards of food safety, quality, and health and safety in all our locations.
What you will do:
Compliance and Governance
→ Establish and uphold corporate governance, statutory compliance, and legal compliance to guarantee that the highest standards are fulfilled.
→ Provide instruction on new product launches and safety regulations.
→ Ensure all relevant laws, best practices rules, and Starbucks International policies are followed.
Monitoring, Control, and Inspection of Quality
→ Create and oversee Standard Operating Procedures for Product Quality Assurance.
→ Determine areas that require improvement and implement measures to reduce incident hazards.
→ Calculate the hazards to food safety at supply chain hubs and suppliers.
Evaluation of Risk
→ Perform thorough risk assessments of the rules, procedures, and manufacturing-related parts.
→ Examine data on food safety and monitor action plans for non-conformances and dangers.
Emergency Response & Risk Management
→ Lead emergency planning and staff training, manage special situations in line with company policies.
→ Manage SSE programmes, including occupational health and safety, security, fire risk, and environmental policies
Supplier Management
→ Help suppliers adhere to the international food safety requirements set forth by Starbucks.
→ Keep an eye on suppliers' key performance indicators (KPIs).
Record-keeping and Reporting
→ Uphold the QA database and record the operational procedures.
→ For every store, create a monthly SHEQ communication strategy.
→ Work with the training manager and HR department to coordinate training plans.
Continuous Improvement
→ Create and implement a program for ongoing safety and product quality improvement.
→ Determine where products and ingredients can be improved.
Safety and Health
→ Create and oversee systems and programs for health and safety.
→ During store operations, ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
→ Every year, FS and HS audits are carried out.
→ Communicate findings and remedial measures to store managers and district managers.
→ Lead safety and occupational health committees and ensure the implementation of safety and environmental protection policies.
**Requirements**:
→ A bachelors degree in environmental health, food science, or a similar discipline.
→ Prior experience in quality assurance, health and safety management, or food safety.
→ Strong familiarity with industry standards and applicable laws.
→ Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
→ The capacity to function both alone and together.
