Specialist: Product Owner

Responsible for supporting the ideation, design, testing, and evolution of Telkom digital innovation products in various verticals. Supporting the entire product lifecycle and product roadmap.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Support the development of business cases for the creation of new Telkom group digital innovation products in line with the Telkom strategy.
2. Analyse requests for business unit digital product proposal requirements to define mínimal viable product (MVP).
3. Partner with collaborators as part of the Agile team to define the vision and the scope of the product
4. Ideate and conduct research to develop a solution for the business problems identified
5. Interview and collaborate with users to author user stories, produce wireframes/ mock-ups, and partner with UX/UI design team to turn them into high fidelity mock-ups in the establishment of feature priority and sizing of user stories.
6. Complete user story elaboration and acceptance criteria for the product features.
7. Partner with agile teams to help them understand the functional design and to resolve issues.
8. Identify, communicate, escalate, and resolve team dependencies and impediments with stakeholders.
9. Confirm completion and accuracy of developed features and stories.
10. Support the delivery of a system demonstration for the program increment release.
11. Present the business/ functional design and training support to project delivery teams.
12. Seek and evaluate input/ feedback on the product from business owners, project delivery teams, and related product team members.
13. Support the identification of the cross-functional activities necessary to bring the product to market through the entire lifecycle of a product.
14. Identify areas of friction within business processes and systems and pro-actively research and recommend solutions.
15. Demonstrate understanding of the products, the markets, and customers.
16. Document understanding of scope, complexity and dependencies
17. Support Change Management process and tasks
18. Align stakeholders around the vision for the product
19. Transfer day-to-day responsibility of the digital product beyond the incubation stage back to business units once the desired KPIs have been achieved.
20. Integrating business and technical product segments to achieve objectives, delivery and targets

**Required Certification**:
Project management certification will be an advantage

**Qualifications**:
NQF 6: 3 year Degree/ Diploma/ National Diploma in Marketing/Sales or Computer Science OR NQF 4: Grade 12

**Experience**:
5 Years relevant experience OR 7 years experience

**Special Requirements**:
**Comments**:
Grade 12 (NQF level 4) and a post matric program or qualification in digital product management or marketing or related industry certification.

Previous experience as a junior product owner or business analyst role for the design, development, and implementation of large-scale solutions is required.

Experience of working in teams developing and delivering on digital products is required.

Experience working on projects with cross functional teams in an Agile environment is required
