**Reference: DB 7300** **Consultant: Dorei Barnes** **Descriptions**: - Facilitate the merchant on-boarding process. This process commences with a merchant registration on the platform and concludes with merchant activation on the platform. - Report to the Operations Manager, at intervals as specified, on overall merchant onboarding progress and flag operational blockers to overall merchant onboarding speed. - Monitor merchant onboarding progress with reference to the relevant dashboard which track merchant participation. Identify "slow-moving merchants" and initiate the appropriate communication, in consultation with the Operations Coordinator and Operations Manager when appropriate, to ensure merchants receive the required support to complete the onboarding process. - Remain up to date (by attending mandatory training as proposed by the Compliance Manager) with AML/KYC requirements. Use this knowledge to identify compliance shortcomings in the merchant onboarding process. - Review transaction exception reports and flag issues for further investigation, as directed by the internal AML directives. (until such time as the system automatically flags such exceptions). - Complete transaction investigations which have been flagged for investigation, complete the required investigation report and escalate to the Compliance Manager for review and approval. - Facilitate access for the Swiss-based AML Officer to all files and information pertaining to AML files retained for merchants and users, as may be requested by the Swiss-based AML officer from time to time. Furthermore, respond to queries from the Swiss-based AML officer in a timely manner. - Support the Compliance Manager and Swiss-based AML Officer with other compliance-related tasks, as directed from time to time. **Qualifications**: - BCom degree / Legal degree (LLB) - Relevant tertiary qualification preferably in Logistics. - A minimum 2-3 years’ experience within an relevant industry - Excellent computer proficiency (specifically Microsoft Excel) - Self-motivated, result driven, exceptional attention to detail and able to take initiative.
