Environmental Affairs, Department of Agriculture and CapeNature).Referring critical technical issues or content-related gaps on a permit submission to the Manager: Research Ethics and Permit Compliance.- Updating and maintaining permit related information on the DRD website.- Providing assistance with the updating of information on the Division for Research Development and Office for Research Integrity and Ethics databases to ensure that all research permit-related

documents and forms are up to date.Keeping track of all issued permits, i.e. expiry dates, annual progress report submissions and permit audit inspections.- Preparing all permit renewal documents for permits issued by the Department of Environmental Affairs (NEMBA: TOPS and BABS) in consultation with the Manager: Research Ethics and Permit

Compliance.Recording and transcribing minutes of meetings with regulatory agencies and the Stellenbosch University Permit Compliance Office.- Assisting the Manager: Research Ethics and Permit Compliance with logístical arrangements for workshops and symposia on all permit related information for research, teaching and testing

activities.Keeping up to date with notable trends in research ethics governance and compliance.- Staying up to date and building own knowledge on research ethics issues, relevant legislation and regulations, and international and national standards related to research ethics and compliance.
- Bied kliëntgerigte hulptoonbank ondersteuning in terme van die permitaansoeke en NEK-prosesse.- Beantwoord alle navrae (algemeen) rakende ingediende NEK-aansoeke.- Opdatering en onderhoud van hulpgidse vir die indiening van permitaansoeke.- Verskaf tegniese leiding en opleiding aan aansoekers met die indiening van hul permitaansoeke by die onderskeie regulerende agentskappe (SAHPRA, Departement van Gesondheid,

Departement van Omgewingsake, Departement van Landbou en CapeNature).Verwys kritieke tegniese kwessies of inhoudverwante leemtes op 'n permitindiening na die Bestuurder: Navorsingsetiek en Permitnakoming.- Opdatering en onderhoud van permitverwante inligting op die ANO-webwerf.- Bied administratiewe en logistieke ondersteuning aan navorsers wat permitaansoeke indien.- Hersien aansoeke en ondersteuningsdokumente vir indiening by die verskillende regulerende agentskappe.- Hulpverlening met die opdatering van inligting oor die Afdeling Navorsingsontwikkeling en Kantoor vir Navorsingsintegriteit en Etiekdatabasisse om te verseker dat alle

navorsingspermitverwante dokumente en vorms op datum is.Hou tred met alle uitgereikte permitte, dit wil sê vervaldatums, jaarlikse vorderingsverslagvoorleggings en permit ouditinspeksies.- Voorbereiding van alle permithernuwingsdokumente vir permitte uitgereik deur die Departement van Omgewingsake (NEMBA: TOPS en BABS) in oorleg met die Bestuurder: Navorsingsetiek en

Permitnakoming.Transkribeer en hou notules van vergaderings met regulerende agentskappe en die Universiteit Stellenbosch se Permit Nakomingskantoor.- Hulpverlening aan die Bestuurder: Navorsingsetiek en Permitnakoming met logistieke reëlings vir werkswinkels en simposiums oor alle permitverwante inligting vir navorsings-, onderrig
- en

toetsaktiwiteite.Bly op hoogte van noemenswaardige neigings in navorsingsetiek, bestuur en nakoming.- Bly op hoogte en bou eie kennis op oor navorsingsetiek kwessies, tersaaklike wetgewing en regulasies, en internasionale en nasionale standaarde wat verband hou met navorsingsetiek en

nakoming.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes- BSc honours degree, plus three years¿ relevant experience.- Experience in projects involving animals and/or biohazardous organisms.- Experience in data management.- Experience in providing logístical and administrative support.- Experience in scientific communication and research management.
Honneurs BSc, plus drie jaar se toepaslike ervaring.- Ervaring in projekte waarby diere en/of biogevaarlike organismes betrokke is.- Ervaring in databestuur.- Ervaring in die verskaffing van logistieke en administratiewe ondersteuning.- Ervaring in wetenskaplike kommunikasie en navorsingsbestuur.- Ervaring met die bestuur van e-posse deur MS Outlook.- Vaardighede in MS Office-toepassings soos Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive en Teams.- Ervaring met die navorsingsetiekaansoek
- en hersieningsproses, veral binne die Suid-Afrikaanse hoëronderwysnavorsingsomgewing.

Recommendation/Aanbeveling- MSc.- Knowledge of higher education administrative systems.- Knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of research ethics (animal use and biosafety).- Knowledge of relevant legislation.- Experience in inspecting laboratories for biosafety hazards.MSc.- Kennis van 'n hoëronderwysinstelling se administratiewe stelsels.- Kennis van die teoretiese en praktiese aspekte van navorsingsetiek (dieregebruik en bioveiligheid).- Kennis van tersaaklike wetgewing.- Ervaring in die inspeksie van laboratoriums vir bioveiligheidsgevare.
