EXTERNAL SALES PERSON

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for expanding the portfolio of clients and successfully implement strategic partners in the region as well as ensuring sales and support with existing CENTURION customers.

Main Responsibilities:

- Maintaining and developing strong relationships with existing clientele and strategic partners, providing support, information and guidance
- Visiting strategic partners and existing clientele on a regular basis, ensuring that our service levels are met
- Identifying and visiting commercial sites (Complexes, Business developments, Office parks, etc.)
- Setting up meetings and presenting access control solutions to the relevant stakeholders.
- Drawing and preparing of sales reports from SAP
- Providing structured and detailed feedback /call reports to the Branch Manager
- Promoting, planning and presenting training courses, and product presentations, diligently
- Providing feedback on competitors, pricing, new products, marketing etc.
- Addressing product issues that arise with clientele, and ensuring that queries are properly addressed and that feedback is given to the relevant parties
- Ensuring that you are up to date with new and existing products
- Assisting the technical department with an occasional site visit to assess a product failure or incorrect installation
- Classifying strategic partners using the Centurion Systems qualifying criteria
- Identifying strategic partner activity to enable partner growth
- Assisting with ad-hoc duties from time to time, such as stocktakes and deliveries
- Strategic partner Activities include but not limited to:

- Financial management
- Human Resources
- Marketing and promotions
- Training
- Geographical area growth
- General business development

Qualifications and other Requirements:

- A minimum of matric with a sound knowledge and/or understanding of both electronic or mechanical equipment
- At least 2-3 years' experience in an external technical sales environment with a proven track record
- A Sound understanding of the electronic security environment/industry
- In possession of a valid drivers' licence and own reliable vehicle
- Formal sales training would be advantageous
- A general understanding of the everyday running of a small to medium sized business
- Experience in SAP would be advantageous
