Ict Manager

**Job description**
- **Reporting Line**: Divisional Head
- **Working Hours**: 08h00am - 17h00pm (Monday-Thursday) & 08h00am - 16h30pm (Friday)
- **Position base**: Cape Town.
- **Overtime**:As and when required

**Purpose**:
The ICT Manager is responsible and accountable for ensuring that Stowe’s Infrastructure is well maintained, provisioned, administered and deployed. He also manages his team by training, supporting and advising where possible.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage ICT Support Activities to ensure that uptime and customer service are maximised
- Interact with internal clients on all levels to help resolve ICT-related issues and provides answers in a timely manner.
- Ensure that the functions and roles of System-, Network-, SQL- and Application-Admin are fulfilled
- Ensure that systems backups, troubleshooting, disaster recovery are configured and maintained and provides expert support when necessary
- Ensure that all security measures are taken into account regarding server, networking devices, WAN connectivity and integrations
- Assist with internal consultation for external customer solutions and projects
- Assist with escalations internally and from external clients
- Maintain Time Management, Deadlines, Escalations and other pertinent Managerial Responsibilities
- Review, evaluate and propose improvements for System Architecture design, including network design, server allocation, access control, etc

**Procurement**
- Assist in purchasing of ICT related software, hardware and other ICT supplies
- Ensure that all Windows, Office and other 3rd Party licences are procured, allocated and maintained
- Builds and maintains vendor relationships and manages the purchase of hardware and software products.
- Work with external vendors for the purpose of outsourcing services or implement projects for changes to Stowe’s infrastructure

**Governance**
- Ensure that all documentation is regular reviewed and updated and created where none exists or is insufficient
- Streamline day-to-day activities to follow industry accepted service methodologies, e.g. ITIL
- Ensure conformance to an industry accepted cyber security framework, e.g. NIST
- Ensure conformance to South Africa’s privacy legislation, i.e. POPI
- Ensure auditing trail of telephones, licenses, hardware, and other third-party vendors devices is kept up to date with our Procurement Department
- Create and maintain an IT Risk Register

**Minimum requirements**:

- Linux, Windows and SQL Server knowledge is advantages
- MSC or equivalent Degree/Diploma
- 3-5 Years IT Support Experience
- 2 Years management experince
- Driver’s License
- Valid South Africa ID

**Competencies required**:

- Confidentially pertaining to crucial data
- Ability to work under pressure
- Must be honest and trustworthy
- Communication with Management as well as internal and external clients
- Must be motivated and a team player
- Must have good troubleshooting skills
- Request for MCSE Certification to be completed.

**Salary**: R35000 - R45000 per month
