SoluGrowth has an exciting hybrid work opportunity for a Payroll Support Specialist. The Payroll Consultant will support our payroll operations by providing expert assistance with PaySpace, implementing payroll solutions for clients, and managing payroll administration. The role requires a thorough understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and the PaySpace platform.
Meet agreed SLA’s and ensure delivery of an excellent ‘customer service’. The incumbent must possess a strong understanding of payroll regulations and best practices as well as strong mathematical, communication, multi-tasking, and organizational skills. Demonstrate strong technical skills to quickly identify and resolve payroll system issues or discrepancies.
Knowledge and experience in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry will be advantageous.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
**1. Payroll Support**
- Act as the primary point of contact for client payroll inquiries related to PaySpace.
- Troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues and escalations.
- Provide end-user support and training for clients on PaySpace functionality and best practices.
**2. Payroll Implementation**
- Lead or support the implementation of payroll solutions using PaySpace, including configuration and setup based on client needs.
- Collaborate with clients to gather and document payroll requirements.
- Test and validate system setups to ensure accuracy and compliance.
**3. Payroll Administration - API Client(s)**
- Execute payroll processing, including data entry, calculations, and validation.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of payrolls, including statutory submissions and tax filings.
- Conduct periodic audits of payroll data to maintain integrity and compliance.
**4. Compliance and Best Practices**
- Stay updated with payroll regulations, labour laws, and statutory requirements.
- Ensure client payroll processes comply with legal standards and best practices.
- Advise clients on compliance-related issues within PaySpace.
- Ensure that UIF and COIDA submissions are made.
- Responsible for payroll month end and tax year end administration.
- Responsible for client satisfaction and client retention.
**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**:
- Matric + PaySpace Certification
- Diploma / Degree in Payroll Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
- **Minimum** 3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably within a consulting or outsourcing environment.

- Good knowledge and understanding of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act

- PaySpace payroll software experience
- Microsoft word, Excel experience
- Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and support.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to handle multiple clients, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
