A well-established Packaging company has a vacancy for a Production Demand Planner. This position is based in Westmead, Pinetown, Durban. The successful incumbent will be expected to perform the following duties, not limited to:
**Qualification and Experience Requirements**

Minimum 4 years in FMCG preferably in packaging.

**Responsibilities & Tasks**

1) Plans and prepares production schedules to meet finished goods requirements while minimizing changeovers, downtime, and inventory. : Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.

2) Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and requirements.

3) Plans and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.

4) Plans sequence of manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers.

5) Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned work.

6) Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.

7) Creates and closes production work orders. Updates capacity planning and master schedule.

8) Prepares production reports.

**Qualification**
- 3 - 5 years’ experience within the planning / scheduling in an electronic manufacturing environment,
- ERP/MRP experience; technical knowledge will be an advantage
- Syspro experience advantageous
- High level of computer literacy (Excel, MS word, Outlook).
