**Role and Responsibilities**
- Oversees the blog production calendar, ensuring all client blogs are edited and sent for approval before their publishing dateBlogs must be sent for approval between 2 and 7 days before their publishing date (this varies by client)

Always staying within the timeframe for sending blogs mentioned above, blogs must be edited within 2 days from when they are drafted
- Ensures that once blogs receive client approval, they are published in a timely fashion (on their publishing date, or immediately after they have been approved if the publishing date has passed when approval is received)
- Collaborates with social media team to ensure blogs are shared across social channels and the clients have been informed
- Fact-check information in content edited to ensure accuracy
- Ensure the content follows SEO best practices and is legally compliant
- Ensure that all edited content follows publishing requirements
- Collaborates closely with the inbound, marketing and paid managers to edit, proofread and improve upon teams' content when necessary
- Helps the inbound team craft and refine ideas, cultivate sources, and write content on a daily basis
- Supervise team members who need to undertake editing tasks.
- Assists managers in the creation of new content, as well as the development of editorial calendars
- Assists managers in training team members when it comes to copy creation and developing editing skills
- Acts as the senior writer for the team
- Writes long-form company blog posts
- Responsible for the creation of and distribution of the company’s internal newsletter.

This position reports to the Content Manager.

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in English is a must
- Editing and proofreading skills
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
- Content curation skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines
- Works well independently and in a team environment

**Salary**: From R20,000.00 per month
