Liaise and co-ordinate with the client, engineering manager and engineers of other disciplines to ensure adherence to project and client requirements and specifications.

Monitor the schedule (time), cost, quality and scope on all C&I contracts on the project.

Accurately markup designs for drafting personnel.

Ensure Quality standards adhered to by checking accuracy of work before it gets issued.

Liaise with C&I site staff and contractors on behalf of the Site Project Manager.

Assure the client and project manager that the design, erection, testing and commissioning of a C&I installation, under his/her charge, complies with all safety and statutory requirements.

Manage risks within project in regard to C&I engineering processes, systems, equipment and infrastructure.

Control and Instrumentation Design and Engineering.

Manage internal design and engineering resources via C & I Section Leaders.

Manage the C&I design team to ensure that C&I designs are carried out in accordance with client standards and specification documentation, industry norms and the relevant legislation.

Ensure the effective review and approval of C&I design and engineering.

Develop improved work practices and ensure familiarity with new C&I Engineering technologies.

Provide C & I input for feasibility studies.

Provide guidance to more junior C&I Department staff.

1.2 **Qualifications and Experience**

Either BSc. Eng or B Tech

Professional registration (PR Eng or PR Tech Eng)

10 years’ experience in C&I

Good understanding of C&I methods and project management
