**Our client in the FMCG industry has a position available for a Channel Manager in their company.**
**Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required**:
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Key Accounts Management or Purchasing with national players.
- Matric and degree or diploma in relevant field preferred.
- Have sound knowledge and be experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, Power Point).
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills, and able foster effective relationships whilst purchasing with national players.
- Ability to lead and motivate the sales management team.
- Be a strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to pick up the finer details.
- Able to delegate effectively, and be goal driven
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for managing, driving market presence and sales of the brand on a national basis.
- The position is based at our Inland office in Johannesburg and the job holder will report into and work closely with the National Sales Manager.
- Lead the sales team to achieve set targets and drive growth of new market share.
- Review and strategize opportunities using business analytic tools.
- Manage credit notes.
- Sales Analysis and Reviews.
- Identify and combat market threats, by achieving profitability and pricing in line with company targets.
- Management of 6 Regional Sales Managers Key Accounts of both Perishable and Grocery which includes pricing, promotion and ranging.
- Managing promotional spends and spend budgeting.
- Work closely with the Marketing Department in planning, executing, evaluating, and reporting on Marketing/Sales items.
