Route Planner

**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Route Planner to join our dynamic logistics team. **You must have strong admin skills with high competency level on Excel, Microsoft Suite and route planning software**. You will be responsible for creating efficient delivery plans, managing drivers, and ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery of products to our customers. This is a critical role that requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of route optimization tools, and the ability to collaborate across teams.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Area Management**: Divide drivers into manageable areas, assigning them to ensure optimal coverage and distribution.
- **Customer Data Management**: Maintain accurate customer data, including addresses, delivery preferences, and order history, to create optimized delivery routes.
- **Route Optimization**: Plan and optimize delivery routes considering factors like customer location, traffic conditions, and delivery priorities to minimize travel time and costs.
- **Mobile Integration**: Ensure seamless mobile integration for drivers to access routes and customer information in real-time.
- **Reporting and Analytics**: Generate reports to analyze driver performance, route efficiency, and customer behavior for continuous improvement.

**Additional Tasks**:

- Plan delivery routes using web fleet tools to maximize efficiency.
- Coordinate with sales, invoicing clerks, drivers, and dispatchers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Communicate with procurement for stock collections and incorporate them into delivery plans.
- Capture daily delivery data for analysis, such as vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and dispatch times.
- Monitor and report traffic violations and ensure all fines are paid and documented.
- Manage vehicle licensing and ensure all vehicles are roadworthy.

**Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)**:

- Achieve a 95% monthly successful delivery rate.
- Ensure over 80% vehicle utilization.
- All traffic fines are paid within 45 days.
- Vehicle licenses are renewed at least one week before expiry.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent administrative abilities with strong excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
- Experience in logistics or route planning.
- Strong proficiency in route planning software and Excel.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Pay: R7 000,00 - R10 000,00 per month
