**Key Performance Areas**
- Compliance of AIAG and Customer related LASER welding norms and standards
- Control of LASER welding seam parameters
- Facilitate training and advise technical teams on Laser Welding techniques and equipment use
- Control and maintain Laser equipment
- Monitor and adhere to LASER safety standards

**Knowledge**
- Quality systems and concepts related to welding technologies (6 sigma advantageous)
- Knowledge of welding technologies (e.g., Inspection techniques, basic metallurgy, control of distortion, etc.)
- LEAN manufacturing processes
- Customer products
- Interpretation of codes and standards

**Minimum Qualifications/Experience Required**
- BEng Metallurgical
- Six Sigma, TQM Certificate
- International Welding and Fabrication Inspector/Technologist Diploma
- Min. 2 years robotic Mig/Mag welding
- Min. 5 years manufacturing experience within the automotive environment
- Min. 2 years basic metallurgy and welding-engineering/technology experience
- Min. 2 years basic quality systems experience (6 Sigma preferred)
