Head of Property Management

Looking to run your own show? Owning over R8Billion in retail properties across 100 buildings in South Africa and in various African countries, our client is an "under the radar" but significant private landlord. Their property management team is all in-house and consists of Senior Regional Managers, Technical staff, accounting professionals and leasing experts who keep the operations of the portfolio well oiled. The appointment of a leader of this team is not something they take lightly as they have an uncommonly low turnover off staff. Since they are also looking to sell a nearly R2Billion of asset into a fund which they will be a major shareholder in, they are looking to appoint someone with proven abilities NOT ONLY in the day to day property management (including all financial, people management, facilities, SLA’s etc) but also who has the business acumen and expertise of an Investor. It goes without saying that a **retail expert** is sought who has, over a minimum of 15 years, proven themselves to be able to maximise potential income through identification of special projects, tenant mix optimisation, recoveries and marketing initiatives. However, it is in the understanding of funding mechanisms, joint venture stakeholder management and investment modelling where this role is set to grown and where expertise also need to be traceable.
