**Responsibilities**

Develop and maintain the CTR/IFTR Framework - covering strategy, policies, processes, controls, procedures, standards, guidelines, training, objectives, metrics and governance - to ensure consistency of implementation and the alignment with Bank standards and to the changing regulatory and legislative requirements across all relevant countries and jurisdictions and international best practices and standards.

- Keep up with and analyse pertinent legislative and regulatory developments, taking into account all the various jurisdictions in which the Group operates, in order to inform the Functional Framework, report on the developments, comprehend the implications for the organization, and provide Business Lines and Corporate Functions with specialized advice.

- To ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory regulations, establish best practice procedures and systems for business areas to efficiently monitor and control adherence, conformance, and compliance to all functional policies and standards in accordance with the authorized Compliance Toolbox.
- Ensure high quality Group level reporting and assurance to the relevant Boards, audit committees, executive management, other relevant forums, and the regulator by offering the line manager input and support.

- Maintain your expertise and familiarity with best practices in the specialty area or functional emphasis and make the required suggestions for modification and improvement.

**Technology & Architecture**
- Participate in the development of the CoE's technology plan within the framework of the Group IT and Compliance Function plans. Develop the pertinent technological needs using your domain experience. Abide by and put into practice the pertinent tech standards created by the IT Function.

**Client**
- Carry out internal and external client-facing activities in accordance with the established policies, procedures, and service level agreements. Product owners and Accountable Institutions are examples of internal clients. The Financial Intelligence Center and the South African Reserve Bank are examples of external clients.

**Data**
- Contribute to the definition and maintenance of the functional area's data model in adherence to the Group's data security standards.
- Advice on the collection, capturing and maintenance of data to ensure the information is reliable and therefore will effectively guide critical business decisions.
