**The Role**
- The Interim Digital Communications Manager is responsible for planning, creating and publishing compelling digital content to promote our work to our target audiences. You will have a strong strategic mindset, working with Peek’s small communications team to ensure that our digital communications support our company-wide strategic objectives. Creative and adaptable, you will be adept at creating impactful designs and video content for social media and online. You will also have a proven ability to write concise, compelling copy for a variety of audiences._
- Working within Peek’s 3x FTE Communications team, you will be accountable to the Head of Corporate Communications & Public Relations. You will work closely with colleagues throughout the organisation, including the institute’s leadership team, as well as liaising with Peek’s partners._
- Peek’s staff are distributed internationally around the globe and our customers and software users operate and deliver programmes in multiple countries. Travel to programmes using Peek in different countries will be part of the role (in line with Peek’s Travel Safety Policy). Peek’s culture enables a self managed team structure. This provides a high level of ownership and accountability within each role, and enables effective and frequent collaboration between team members and across teams._
**Responsibilities and Attributes**
- The key responsibilities of the role are: _
- Develop and deliver a programme of engaging and creative content to engage and inspire our target audiences, including overseeing content production such as videos, photos, news items and case studies.
- Oversee and lead content planning and scheduling, keeping abreast of relevant sector developments, advocacy work and peer activities, ensuring we have a responsive and dynamic digital presence.
- Monitor communications channels for information to feed into marketing intelligence where appropriate.
- Provide briefs and project management for wider team members who are tasked with producing digital content (e.g. blogs, video, photos).
- Liaise with Peek’s partners to plan, source and disseminate content.
- Oversee and develop Peek’s social media presence to build our reputation and help deliver our objectives (our key channels are currently LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook).
- Compile Peek’s external newsletter, testing approaches to increase engagement.
- Analyse and interpret evaluation data and communicate results to the wider communications team.
- Offer expert advice on digital communications and developments to the Communications team and the wider institute.
- Support major communications projects planned for the contract period including a planned website relaunch and implementation of a Digital Asset Management solution.
- Some international travel may be required as part of the role.

- Experience of managing multiple corporate or other organisational social media accounts for a not-for-profit, health or research organisation
- Outstanding written and oral communications skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to produce effective visual designs to engage audiences on social media and online using photography and our brand assets
- Experience of using social media management tools effectively
- Skilled at interpreting and reporting on social media and website analytics and performance, and aware of best practice
- Good knowledge of best practice around informed consent when gathering content
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels
- Good news sense and an appreciation of the specific communications needs of partnership working
- Desirable attributes for the role are: _
- Experience of managing multiple corporate or other organisational social media accounts in the international development sector
- Advanced social media and website analytics skills
- Proficient in SEO, Google Adwords, Google tag manager
