**About the Role**

As a Scrum Master, you will be an integral part of a squad, collaborating closely with the Product Owner to facilitate processes that ensure value delivery. Acting as a servant leader and coach, you will guide squad members in adopting agile methodologies, removing impediments, and fostering an environment of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Guide Product Owners in discovery through agile techniques like journey maps, assisting in defining MBI/MVP for larger epics.
- Support PI Planning by facilitating team breakouts and backlog identification, ensuring alignment with Sanlam's ecosystem.
- Facilitate backlog refinement sessions to slice features into user stories within each iteration.
- Manage iterations in alignment with release management schedules, updating iteration boards and ensuring healthy burn-down of user stories.
- Conduct daily stand-ups for alignment on daily goals and progress tracking.
- Coordinate iteration planning sessions to plan upcoming work and address impediments.
- Represent squads in sync meetings, ensuring alignment and adjusting for technical dependencies.
- Collaborate with End-to-End teams and support structures to ensure smooth squad functioning.
- Facilitate iteration demos and retrospectives to promote continuous improvement and learning.

Qualifications:

- Relevant IT Qualification (Degree or Diploma) preferred
- Scrum Master certification advantageous

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 2 years in a fully Agile and DevOps environment
- Experience with dashboards, KPI/metrics, burn-down charts, Jira, Confluence, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes

Knowledge:

- Proficiency in engineering practices, Scrum principles, Agile methodology, and sprint methodology
- Familiarity with Behavior Driven Development, product development processes, and project management
