The Scrum Master (SM) is responsible to oversee the scrum and development team. The SM is knowledgeable in Agile methodology and scrum and able to educate others. He / She also act as a buffer between the scrum team and product owner and maintain a safe working environment for the team by helping with conflict resolution.

Scrum Master is responsible for the facilitating scrum practices in the planning and execution of projects for the team. The Scrum Master is expected to be a coach and facilitator for IT teams. The work will include coaching team members, proactively eliminating barriers, and facilitating team delivery on sprint goals. This position works closely with product management, the development team, the CIO, Software Delivery Manager and Quality Assurance Manager. The Scrum Master should ensure successful delivery of projects on time and support Sprint and Release Planning, foster team self-awareness, encourage cross-training, decision making and continuous improvement.

**Experience Required**:

- Degree in Computer Science, Business or similar
- Scrum Master certification
- Minimum 3 years proven working experience as a Scrum Master in the information technology or software development sectors
- Experience with Software development

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Ability to analyze and think quickly
- Knowledgeable in techniques to fill in gaps in the scrum
- Knowledge and experience with software development
- Experience with Jira and Confluence is required
- Experience with successful Agile techniques
- Problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Proven organizational skills
- Ability to work with and lead a team
- Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction
- Understand generic healthcare industry requirements.
- Specific experience with practice management, clinical information systems, analytics, and interoperability is a plus.
- May be required to work beyond office hours
- Some team members are located internationally and ability to effectively communicate and manage through technology platforms like Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom is required.
- Small amount of Travel may be required.
- Ability to attend and conduct presentations is required.
- Manual dexterity required to use laptop, iPad and peripherals.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Diploma (required)
