**What will you do?**

**Job Purpose**
- The Distribution Technical Learning Specialist will be responsible for the competence and proficiency of the Distribution Team of Glacier Partners: Absa. The role is required to understand and support upskilling in the product range and corresponding processes and procedures. An understanding and experience in financial advice, financial planning and investments are vital.

**Key Outcomes**
- Training and onboarding new distribution staff with a view to ensuring full competence on product range and processes.
- Vesting of new distribution staff.
- Design and implementation of training/upskilling content and programmes.
- Continuous upskilling of Distribution Team on product and process changes and enhancements.
- Support financial planning and product engagements and delivery of technically correct content.
- Support and facilitate sales and distribution projects (knowledge / skills enhancements).
- Support product innovations and campaigns (marketing support).
- Support for financial planning requirements in relation to client events (CPD requirements).
- Provide support (advice and product related) to line managers in client solutions, market advice and channels, business mix and competency practices.
- Update and develop the Distribution Team on financial planning related topics, along with peers.
- Service and support the Distribution Team and intermediary support structures with technical queries focusing on the solution range.
- Assist the Distribution Team with implementation of all industry related regulation (e.g. FAIS, FICA, COFI, etc.).
- Undertake financial planning industry research, linked to growth strategies, to support the Distribution Team in intermediary education.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning is a pre-requisite, if the undergraduate degree is not in financial planning.
- 3 years’ minimum experience in financial services.
- Technical knowledge about retail investments, retail investment industry and trends.
- Technical knowledge about the financial planning landscape and all related laws (FAIS, FICA and compliance related legislation, ITA, PFA, Long-term Insurance Act, Insurance Act etc).
- Understanding of distribution in financial services is advantageous.
