**Function**
We are recruiting for an enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude. Reporting to the Director of Human resources, the successful incumbent will be required to coordinate, administer and assist with day to day human resources activities and support the Human Resources Department as per operational requirements, whilst maintaining the quality and standards of the Westin Cape Town Hotel in accordance with Marriott International Policies and Procedures within a pressurized environment.
**Required Experience & Qualifications**
- Recognised Human Resources qualification
- Working experience within a Human Resources department
- Exposure to generalist Human Resources activities within a hospitality environment
- Professional and diplomatic disposition
- Discrete, trustworthy and able to handle business information with confidence and confidentially.
- Confidence in working independently and part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills
- Well versed in the English language, both verbal and written
- Strong administration, effective planning and organizing and project co-ordination skills
- People oriented and results driven
- Flexible and willing to learn new skills and tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance at all times
- Ability to work within a pressurized environment
- Ability to use Initiative and be proactive and self-driven
- Ability to work without supervision and within a team
- Attention to detail pertaining to area of responsibility
**Key Responsibilities**
- Support the day to day operations within the Human Resources department as and when required
- Build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- Assist with Human resources generalist tasks
- Assist with the preparation of HR audits
- Participate in Wellness, CSI initiatives
- Assist with HR projects
- Provide an administrative support function as required
- Assist with recruitment related tasks
- Assist with employee benefits related tasks
- Submit and compile daily transport submission
- Complete transport reconciliation process as required
- Respond and refer all transport concerns or issues to the relevant parties
- Process related orders, ie. Department stationery, flowers and gifts baskets
- Perform other duties as and when required
