**Job Summary**:
Execute day to day operational activities within the warehouse & SDC, enable timely delivery of service effectively and efficiently, ensure that storage locations are organised in a manner that allows free flow of materials and goods, execute order picking in a timely manner to ensure optimum customer service delivery and improved turn around times, Implement Warehousing best practices and make sure that stock discrepancies are kept at required levels.

**Qualification**:

- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in warehousing environment
- Minimum 2 years in a Supervisory Role
- Cycle Counting and Stock Taking procedures
- Correction of physical stock after stock counting
- LIFO, FIFO principles
- Stock ageing and SOH principals
- SAP R/3 MM ( warehousing and Inventory)

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Control the preparation of documentation for dispatch of material equipment
- Control the packing of material and equipment for safe passage to the customer
- Supervise loading roll-tainers, mini-containers and vehicles
- Plan and allocate daily work appropriately to subordinates
- Ensure that stock GRV (Goods Received) on time and binned correctly
- Ensure that picking is done on specified bins and locations according to customer requirements on prescribed form
- Identify potential for damages and theft and report it to the Manager
- Ensure compliance to OSHACT by all the people working in the Warehouse.
- Set and review staff objectives and problem solving
- Improve warehouse labour efficiency by identifying problems in the processes and suggesting changes to manager
- Oversee stocktaking by following stocktaking procedures and completing administration
- Coach and train staff on-the job training
- Document management by preparing documents accurately and submit for archiving
- Liaise with procurement department to meet stock requirements
- Supervise staff, allocate tasks, follow-up activities, provide on-the job training and take disciplinary action

**Skills**:

- Computer literate - MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc
- Good written and communication skills.
- Problem solving.
- Decision making ability.
- Ability to analyse warehousing layouts and recommend changes
- Innovative.
- Identify potential and harness it
- People management
- Understanding of risks associated with stock
- Safety awareness and knowledge of safety legislation
- Logistics and understanding of “just-in-time” principals

**Physical Mobility**:
Be able to move around in the warehouse and offices
