**About the Position**:
Our Analytics team is growing at SubjectWell, and we are looking to add a Data Analyst to the organization. This role will report up to the Vice President of Business Operations & Analytics. The Data Analyst will work directly with other members of the SubjectWell analytics team to support the organization in analysis and data requests. This individual will be responsible for creating dashboards, visualizations, algorithms, and business tools that will be utilized globally. The Data Analyst will have an opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and internal stakeholders to rapidly drive improvement based on rich and diverse real-time data. Additionally, this individual will partner with the analytics team in executing strategic goals for development in conjunction with end users, managers, and stakeholders. The Data Analyst will also be responsible for building ad hoc reports and analyses, validating and auditing data, as well as monitoring the quality and performance of data sources.

This role will require a high level of adaptability, proactive attitude, and willingness to grow your knowledge within the data analysis world.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Work with key stakeholders to identify reporting and analysis needs
- Frame and scale data to analyze, visualize and find data solutions
- Facilitate delivery of ad hoc analysis and data requests
- Transform data and analysis into informative data visualizations and interactive dashboards to increase visibility of key metrics
- Assist in maintaining data lineage allowing users to trace data reliably to the point of origin and pinpoint any quality problems in the data pipelines
- Work directly with the data analysis team to design, build and perform ETL processes
- Ability to tell a story through data

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- 2+ years of current experience in a Data Analyst role
- Bachelor's Degree in Math, Business, Economics, Computer Science or related quantitative field
- Fast learner with ability to adopt new data analytical processes
- High levels of proficiency in SQL and query optimization for MySQL
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team to execute on shared deadlines and goals
- Knowledge of probability and statistics to aid teams in understanding the strength of results
- Experience with Tableau or related BI tools
- Fluent in Python or similar language, e.g. R, Java, or Scala
- **Role will be based in our Cape Town office in Century City. Hours are based on an American work shift.
