PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The purpose of this role is to set up machines for operation and production and make adjust on machinery during its operation in the Refinery.

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO
- Ensure that the tooling is in working order to minimise downtime and faults in the Refinery and Fabrication.
- Assist with making drawings when required.
- Setting of tools and equipment on machinery timeously and accurately.
- Regularly perform pro-active maintenance on tooling to deter any failures in adherence with scheduling.
- Strictly adhere to all SHEQ legislation regarding safety and machine maintenance.
- Produce safety cards as required.
- Assist others where necessary in the maintenance of equipment and machinery and train other staff on the job where required.
- Liaise with buyers where necessary to ensure that the correct equipment and spares are available at all times for the plant.

- Source parts, spares and equipment for general maintenance and all projects ensuring cost efficiency and accuracy of components and add technical input where required.
- Regularly perform lockouts on systems where required and reporting of unsafe conditions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- A completed Matric qualification.
- Must have at least completed an N4 qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance or tool setting on manufacturing equipment

SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP.
- AutoCAD software for creating precise technical drawings.
- Knowledge of Fusion software and Edgecam.
