Day Hospital Unit Manager

A 5 bed 1 theatre day hospital on the west rand close to Krugersdorp is looking for a mature individual to fulfil the role of Unit Manager. The main purpose of the position is to oversee and manage the day to day operations of the hospitals to ensure cost effective and quality care to patients. The unit is focused on plastic surgery.
There will be strategies to grow the business to achieve operational & financial targets.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Manage the patient experience
- Lead and manage the hospital team
- Build & manage relationships with medical professionals & other key stakeholders to ensure loyalty to the brand and adequate referral rates.
- Manage patient safety and ensure uncompromising quality nursing care.
- Ensure sound operational practices aligned with the operating model of the organisation.
- Ensure adherence to ethical & clinical standards and manage and mitigate hospital risks.
- Drive business growth and development of the hospital
- Cost effective management of productivity and efficiency.
- Effective stock control measures to be implemented
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Relevant tertiary qualification in healthcare/ business / finance
- Postgraduate qualification in business management will be advantageous
- At least 5 years’ proven senior management experience in the Private Healthcare environment
- Conflict handling & performance management skills
- Computer literacy is essential
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: From R30,000.00 per month
