**Job Purpose**

To ensure that all aspects of the promix department is attended to as per safety standards and operational requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Promotes a safe working environment and adheres to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, company safety rules, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) in line with the company’s objectives and policies at all times with everyone in the department. No short cuts allowed.
- Locates and retrieves materials as listed on the Recipe List
- Assist in lifting, carrying and moving heavy loads as required +-25kg
- Weigh multiple ingredients or chemicals to ensure they are portioned correctly and meet safe usage requirements.
- Weighs, labels, packages, and palletizes materials by batch as listed on the Recipe List.
- Record weight and supply of each item accurately, quickly and clearly, taking care not to make mistakes or cause misunderstandings
- Checks scale performance to ensure reliability and accuracy.
- Report when a certain item is depleted
- Always maintains neat and accurate records and clean and organized work areas.
- Transfers materials between locations.
- Completes and verifies records to document all work.

**Qualification Requirements**:

- Matric / Grade 12

**Experience Requirements**:

- 2 - 3 years milling industry experience
- 1 years’ experience as a packing operator

**Key Outputs**:

- Milling environment - hot and noisy
- Required to work outside of normal working hours (after hours and over time)
- Working with and on heavy equipment and plant (mechanical and electrical)
