Requirements
- DipPharm or BPharmacy degree
- Current registration with the South African Pharmacy Council as a

Pharmacist
- At least three years’ experience, preferably in the primary

healthcare environment
- Sound knowledge of current medicines and the essential drug list
- Proven interpersonal and administrative skills
- An eye for detail
- Integrity
- A valid Code 8 driver’s licence.

Key Performance Areas
- Coordinate pharmaceutical services within the Area by adhering to

the provisions of the Pharmacy Act as well as ensure efficient drug

management
- Dispensing services at clinic sites as required
- Interface internally and externally as the Area’s representative
- Facilitate registration of area pharmacies
- Participate in the Sub-district forum and assist with interviews
- Stock control
- Mentoring and in-service tutoring.
