Our client located in Cape Town is looking to employee a Front Desk Reservationist

Requirement:
3-5 years Hotel or Guest House experience

Responsibility:
To deliver friendly and effective customer service, that creates a warm nd welcoming atmosphere for all our guests.

The key aims to retain and attract new customers and also provide high end levels of internal customer services.

Assist in keeping the Hotel reception area clean and tidy at all times.

To update the shift diary during and at the end of the shift detailing all important activities carried out.

To maintain and display excellent knowledge of local area.

Administer all reservations including invoicing, cancellations and no - shows, in line with the company policy in a prompt and efficient manner.

Knows the type of rooms the hotel has as well as their locations and layout.

Keep up to date with current promotions and hotel pricing, to provide information to guest, on request, maximizing bedroom and other sales opportunities.

Fulfil all reasonable request from guest to ensure their comfort, satisfaction and safety.

Personally, demostrate a commitment to guest needs.

Understand the hotels policy on guaranteed reservations and no - shows.

Report any Maintenace issues immediately. This includes Maintenace. for all furniture, fittings and equipment.

Promotes goodwill by being courteous, friendly, and helpful, managers and fellow employees.

To greet customers and identity their specific reservations.

To allocate rooms according to reservation list and guest request for the same day arrivals.

Check occupancy and give guest the option to upgrade to another room if there is availability.

To ask guest to complete the from, ensuring that the necessary details are obtained, i.e. name in full, address, whether company or private booking, special rate, allowances, VIP, charges details, nationality passport number contact details ect.

To check that all registration forms are correctly completed method of payments is taken on arrival and guest departure's date.

To issue the key card according to the number of people in the room to the guest that has checked in.
