Butcher/assistant Manager

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the daily operations of the butchery section, ensuring smooth workflow and quality control.
- Support the Butchery Manager in supervising and training staff on cutting techniques, food safety, and customer service.
- Ensure all meat products are prepared, cut, packaged, and displayed to high standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor stock levels, conduct inventory checks, and assist in ordering supplies.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional manner.
- Work with the manager to achieve sales targets, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
- Assist in scheduling staff and managing team performance.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and report any issues promptly.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in a butchery or meat department, preferably in a supervisory or assistant management role.
- Strong knowledge of meat products, cutting techniques, and food safety regulations.
- Leadership and team management experience is an advantage.
- Basic computer skills for inventory and sales reporting.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in food handling or butchery are a plus.
