**VACANT POSITION - Banqueting Outlet Manager**

**Recreation Africa Leisure Industries (PTY) Ltd requires the services of a Banqueting Outlet Manager**

The Conference & Banqueting Outlet Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and management of all conferencing & banqueting events. This role involves coordinating with various departments to ensure seamless service and an exceptional guest experience while promoting the hotel's unique offerings.

The responsibilities will include:

- Oversee conferencing & banqueting events, including weddings, corporate retreats and functions, representing the hotel and promoting our brand values through exceptional service and hospitality.
- Act as a point of contact for clients, ensures exceptional communication and service to clients, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally, providing recommendations and a personalized service.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- schedule and coordinate staff for events, ensuring adequate coverage and efficiency.
- Work with the kitchen team to create diverse and appealing event specific menus.
- Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation and health regulations, conducting regular inspections to ensure adherence to best practices and mitigate risks.
- Accountable for banquet operating equipment, safeguarding against theft and breakages
- Accountable for banqueting cost control, ensure the revenue per function sheet is raised correctly and the revenue generated is allocated, ensure that open folios with balances due are allocated correctly to the customer/ guest account.
- Produce reports on the aspects of the Banqueting Department in terms of policy and directives issued by the General Manager and F&B Manager.
- Coordinate with other internal departments to ensure all aspects of events are seamless.
- Ensure that the Operational Stock Take is done timeously
- Train, supervise and motivate the team, ensuring adherence to high standards of service, hygiene and safety.
- Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of all conference rooms and service areas.
- Respond to client queries efficiently and courteously, ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Matric
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in banqueting or event management, preferably in the hospitality sector.
- Hospitality Certificate or Hospitality Management Diploma qualification will be an advantage.
- Must have at least 2 years of management or supervisor experience an advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of Banqueting and Food & Beverage.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Hospitality Management software, high level of numeracy skills, disciplined, organised and deadline drive.
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written, with exceptional communication skills.
- Strong leaderships skills with passion for providing exceptional guest experiences.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing demands.
- Familiarity with industry standard software, and technology tools for inventory management, point-of-sale systems and performance analysis.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills, develop and manage event timelines, layouts and logistics to ensure smooth execution.
- Physical stamina to oversee events and lift equipment as necessary, ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and results oriented.
- Proactive and takes initiative.
- Approachable and enjoys working with people.
