**About the team**:
At Luno, our main objective is to provide our users with a secure and streamlined cryptocurrency experience. To achieve this, our Internal Audit team plays a critical role in enforcing compliance, identifying potential risks and hazards, and prompting enhancements throughout our organization. We are currently seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead our team and deliver exceptional insights and solutions that align with our strategic objectives.

**The role in a nutshell**:
The role of the Audit Manager is essential in maintaining the high standards of Luno's Internal Audit team. The Audit Manager is responsible for ensuring that audits are conducted with technical proficiency, strategic insight, and effective leadership skills, in line with the organization's goals. Furthermore, this position involves promoting a culture of cooperation, and consistently seeking out opportunities to improve.

**Your mission will be**:

- Contribute to the development of a risk-based Internal Audit plan for all Luno regions.
- Maintain and update the audit universe, identifying emerging risks.
- Understand the business's risk profile in the broader context of the group and industry.
- Execute and deliver the audit plan and management requests promptly.
- Ensure audits adhere to the approved Internal Auditing Methodology, in line with International Standards of Auditing and maintain quality and performance standards consistently.
- Deliver impactful audit reports with well-considered management actions and due dates in a timely manner.
- Drive the Combined Assurance efforts of the organisation.
- Execute the issues assurance plan promptly and by quality standards.
- Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with auditees.
- Assist the Internal Audit Lead in managing stakeholder engagement and relationships across Luno.
- Support the Internal Audit Lead in managing functional resource planning and integration, including utilizing outsourced consultants and other service providers.Assist the Internal Audit Lead in managing the audit team effectively

**A little about you**:

- Honours degree in Internal Audit/ Risk/ Finance
- Certified Internal Audit ( CIA)
- Minimum 6 years in an Internal Audit
- Ideally 2+ years in an Audit Manager role or
- 5 years in a client-facing role.

**Technical Expertise**:

- Demonstrates a track record of efficiently managing multiple audit engagements.
- Facilitates agreement on audit findings and ratings with relevant stakeholders.
- Analyzes root causes of identified issues and provides recommendations for necessary improvements to the control environment.
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory framework applicable to Luno.
- Demonstrates understanding of IT risks and controls as well as controls relevant to Luno.
- Applies critical, analytical, and forward-thinking skills to problem-solving.

**Business Understanding**:

- Possesses an understanding of the financial services industry and the broader crypto market landscape.

**Ownership and Proactivity**:

- Takes full responsibility for objective-based assignments and actively drives impact within Luno, consistently seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Sets short to medium-term vision and priorities, drives project roadmaps, and defines team metrics.

**Leadership and Collaboration**:

- Experienced in managing team activities, providing supervision, coaching, and task assignment based on capacity and skill set.
- Capable of summarizing key updates for supervisors and prioritizing their time toward top-priority items.
- Demonstrates a track record of building collaborative relationships within the Internal Audit team and across the business.

**Communication and Presentation**:

- Able to concisely communicate key issues and messages with the wider business.
- Confidently presents to various audiences at Luno.
- Independently owns internal and external relationships, adapting communication style as needed.
- Displays confidence and assertiveness in difficult conversations.
