Technical Sales Representative

**Overview**:
Omnia’s Agriculture division, the market leader in southern Africa, comprises of Omnia Fertilizer and Omnia Specialities. The division produces granular, liquid and speciality fertilizers for a broad customer base of farmers, co-operatives and wholesalers throughout southern and East Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Brazil. The division is expanding its influence in Europe, South America and Asia, where it is increasing its sales of speciality products. The Omnia Agriculture division’s range of specialised products and services are encompassed by its unique Nutriology® offering, which assists customers to optimise crop yield and quality.
**Qualifications**:
- Matric and an Agricultural qualification is essential
**Experience**:
- Relevant experience in crop management and crop production.
- Selling and marketing experience in agricultural sector.
- Providing professional fertilization and agronomic advice to farming enterprises.
- Computer skills.
**Duties**:
- Providing a full agricultural service to existing as well as potential new clients.
- Marketing and selling of the Omnia Nutriology® concept and products.
- Handling all aspects of the marketing function.
- Sampling of crops and soils
- Utilising the full potential of the products Omnia offers.
**Job Competencies**:
- Good command of the following languages: Afrikaans,English, basic zulu would be an advantage
- Computer literacy
- Good technical/agricultural knowledge
- Good negotiating skills
- The ability to function independently
- Time management, organizational and planning skills
- The ability to function well under pressure
- Flexible and reliable
- Self-motivated and willing to learn
- Good communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
