funds and play a leadership role in the South African asset management industry. We are

**Purpose of the position**
Analytical role with specific focus on global and local macroeconomic and policy
developments and their implications for the local interest rate market.

**Key responsibilities of the position**
1. Performing fundamental macro-economic, socio-economic, policy, governance and

quantitative market data research, with emphasis on the local market.

2. Making recommendations on investment opportunities to the relevant team
members in the Interest Rate team for portfolio construction.

3. Regular and effective communication of market views and performance to key
internal and external stakeholders.

4. Developing and maintaining econometric models and databases using Excel, R,
Python, etc.

**Knowledge and experience required**

**Skills, know-how and experience**:_ _**:

- Sound macroeconomic understanding, complemented by a strong quantitative

skillset (econometrics, statistics, etc.);
- Coding proficiency in at least one programming language (R/Python/VBA, etc.); and
- Minimum 3 years’ work experience in a relevant analytical or risk management role.

**Technical/ professional qualifications**:

- Strong academic credentials - B Bus Sci, post graduate degree in Statistics

/Mathematics or similar is required; and
- CFA/FRM or similar would be advantageous.
