We are recruiting a French Speaking Development Consultant with a special interest in agri-processing (operations and finance) & project management.

Full time, based in Durban South Africa

**The Job**

In this role you will be responsible for project implementation of exciting donor projects in the agri-processing space.
Our project footprint in West Africa demands strong French & English skills.
This job includes:

- **Project implementation**: You will oversee a variety of projects such as value chain analysis, business case development, sector strategy development, value chain benchmarking etc. This includes leading local teams in Africa and global experts. You will also be responsible for qualitative interviews, desk & field research, analysis and reporting, business modelling, client workshops, etc.
- **Training and capacity development**: Design and manage training and capacity development projects and programs
- farmer training and extension, processor training, business coaching, marketing skills development etc.
- **Global linkages**: Engage with the private sector and other stakeholders in importing countries to conduct market research, lead investment promotion and sourcing missions, roundtables, etc.
- **Business/partnership development**: Develop relationships with the private sector, sector associations, knowledge centres, etc.
- **Enterprise development and capacity building**:Assess and develop business cases
- market research, business modelling, business plans, coaching of entrepreneurs, sector roundtables etc.
- **New business development**:You will work with senior team members to develop client relationships, draft project proposals and design development projects and programs.

**What You Bring**
- A Master’s degree qualification
- 3-5 years of work experience
- Experience conducting workshops, facilitating etc.
- Practical work experience: agricultural extension, processor training, enterprise development training programs etc is a valued experience
- Mid-career switchers are welcome. We are particularly interested in people who have practical experience in business coaching, operations support, factory finance, procurement etc.
- Dairy processing experience would be a bonus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- French & English is required, with Portuguese a valued addition.
