**KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Perform planned and unplanned Maintenance on all plant equipment
- Mechanical and electrical Fault finding
- SHE and House keeping
- Maintenance and services of plant equipment e.g. ammonia plant, transformers.
- To be on “Standby” and “call outs”
- Electrical and mechanical Refurbishment of machines
- Assist engineers and artisans with maintenance work
- Assist with general site, plant and building maintenance
- Perform minor repairs on machinery, changing light bulbs and fix leaking pipes.
- Erecting scaffolding when necessary and if trained and appointed to
- Performing welding and hot work tasks and if trained and appointed to
- Keep work stations and working areas neat and tidy at all times
- Keep hand tools in good working condition and report any damaged hand tools
- Ensure the safe usage of Power Tools and equipment and ensure any defects are reported to the supervisor or management
- Assist the company with any additional appointed duty in relation to health and safety
- Assist the company in filling out necessary paperwork and taking necessary readings on equipment, water readings, etc
- Comply with lock-out procedures
- Assist in moving any machinery
- Work in areas that may be at a relative height as well as confined spaces
- Adhere to company health and safety rules and regulations
- Adhere to company quality and food safety rules and regulations Additional Ad hoc duties

**QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE**
- Grade 12, Millwright or Fitter trade test
- 4-5 years experience in FMCG
- Computer literacy essential
- Good Communication Skills
- Attention for detail.
