The Financial Operations Controller is an advanced level role in the Management Accountants job family. They operate at a national level in medium to advanced complexity environments.
The Financial Controller will also ensure that all accounting-related tasks are professionally executed according to company and legal requirements.
**Requirements
**Part of Team that Oversees the Monthly accounting function for the Infrastructure Solutions business for Dimension Data
**Manage monthly management accounts.**
The Financial Controller will be responsible for month-end closure and monthly accounting in the Infrastructure Solutions Business for Dimension Data. This activity will include the processing and analysis of the accounting entries for the different business units that make up the Infrastructure Solutions Business.
**Financial analysis and reporting**
The Financial Controller will be responsible for various reporting to facilitate the review of the performance of the various business units. The reporting will include the variance analysis of actuals and forecast vs budget as well as ad hoc requests from senior management.
**Balance Sheet Recons Review**
The Financial Controller will be responsible for the balance sheet reconciliations for all the balance sheet general ledger accounts for the Infrastructure Solutions business. This will include review of necessary support and ensure reconciling items are resolved.
**Working Capital Management**
The Financial Controller will be responsible for the review of the working capital position as it pertains to the Infrastructure Solutions business, to ensure optimal working capital positions for the division.
**Internal and external audit**
The Financial Controller will be responsible to assist with the Internal and External audits for the Business Units that makes up the Infrastructure Solutions Division.
**Intercompany confirmations**
The Financial Controller will own the intercompany confirmation process for Infrastructure Solutions and ensure, transactions and balance are confirmed on a monthly basis.
**Commission reviews**
Assist with the review and approve the commission calculations for the division.
**Behavioural skills**
The Financial Controller need to be a process driven individual who is commercially astute, display good attention to detail, be able to work independently and produce work of high quality. The financial controller needs to be an assertive individual who display good negotiation and problem-solving ability. He or she need to have good verbal and written communication skills and can work effectively in a team environment.
**Qualifications**
5+ years’ working experience
B Comm or similar qualification.
The Financial Operations Controller will report to the Senior Financial Manager for Infrastructure Solutions. In the role, the Financial Operations Controller also works closely with a team of accountants and the commercial team responsible for the Infrastructure Solutions Business.
