**About AMAKA**
AMAKA is a digital media platform connecting a global community of women sharing Pan-African stories.
With few platforms solely dedicated to capturing authentic stories from the continent,
AMAKA aims to fill the gap by adopting a digital-first, multidisciplinary and cross-cultural approach to content creation, storytelling, and editorial production.
**About You**
Your organisational skills and the ability to communicate across all levels. You will be expected to spend 50% of your time conducting lead generation and client outreach and 50% of your time on account management.
This is a fast-paced environment where you will need to show that you can remain calm under pressure, are a capable multi-tasker and can prioritise your workload.

- Johannesburg, South Africa or Lagos, Nigeria
**Key Skills and experience**
- At least 5 years of proven experience at a similar level working in an agency, digital publisher, digital media owner or B2B tech sales is essential.
- Proven experience of digital sales, such as selling programmatic advertising solutions and technology products is essential
- Proven experience of account management is essential.
- Proven track record of selling and converting events sponsorship and branded content deals is highly desirable
- Excellent track record in consistently meeting targets and driving revenue growth
- Experienced in Business-to-Business sales with the ability to identify opportunities and effectively present the key benefits and value proposition on how to solve customers' pain points
- Demonstrated understanding of the key USP's of digital and mobile platforms
- Knowledge using sales tools like LinkedIn **Sales Navigator **to find new leads and potential clients.
- Comfortable using digital lead generation tools such as **Meet Alfred**:
- Comfortable leading and using digital CRM tools such as **Salesforce **to track and report on revenue performance.
- Understanding of campaign management and performance, taking a proactive approach to manage digital campaigns to encourage repeat business
- Having a proven track record of hitting sales targets on KPIs in key African regions is desirable
- Having a key contacts black book to facilitate sales introductions is desirable
- Excellent telephone communication skills with a persuasive approach and confidence to overcome and handle objections
- You should be a confident, outgoing person with the desire to succeed. Be comfortable approaching global senior decision makers with the ability to present well and confidently
- Listening skills and mental resilience to be able to move from call to call, keeping the same positive approach on the last call as you did the first
- Be money motivated; we are looking for people who are ambitious in earning more money through our competitive commission structure

- Culturally curious, business-minded and engaging personality
- Experienced working with Google Suite and iWorks
- A positive and proactive attitude with the ability to manage and organise your own workload and multitask effectively
- Execute tasks promptly with excellent attention to detail and an eye on the big picture
- Being fluent in French is desirable but not essential
**Duties**
**Lead generation and client outreach**
- Identify opportunities with new and existing clients and proactively drive revenue for AMAKA
- Conduct lead generation, sourcing cold leads via Linkedin and warm leads through your own personal networks and connections
- Contact and connect with potential clients to share details on AMAKA’s digital product and content offerings
- Support the leadership team in arranging client demo meeting, as well as responding to client briefs and drafting partnership proposals and contracts
- Achieve sales targets, KPI’s and objectives set by your manager
- Accurately gather and record sales activity for weekly internal reporting
- Represent AMAKA at trade shows and events, promoting our portfolio to generate sales across events, digital and multiplatform creative projects
- Maintain commercial awareness through market intelligence, keeping up to date with developments, innovations and industry trends
- Maintain awareness of competitor activities and campaign innovations considering implications for AMAKA and our clients
- Build strong collaborative relationships internally to deliver consultative advertising and content solution responses to our clients
- Liaise with the Brand Partnerships Director and Consultants to provide feedback on issues and developments where appropriate
