**DUTY MANAGER - STELLENBOSCH CAPE TOWN - R17 000 00 NEG**

Our client, a 5* Property in Stellenbosch Cape Town are currently looking for a Duty Manager to join their team.

The purpose of the position is to communicate with all guests at the property and to provide effective leadership through professional management and encouragement of all subordinates.

Minimum Experience and Qualification Required:
Matric

National Diploma in Hospitality Management or similar qualification beneficial

Excellent organizational skills

Computer literacy (Word & Excel)

OPERA & Micros knowledge

Ability to work accurately under pressure

Excellent communication skills

Must be a self-driven individual

Must have 2 - 3 years’ experience is a similar position or 5 years supervisory position in a 4/5-star property

Good verbal and written communication skills in English

Additional Foreign language (beneficial)

Key Performance Objectives:
To assist, manage and oversee the daily operation of the Hotel

Maintaining and improving on the operating and service standards

Training and motivating F&B and Front Office personnel

Handling and resolving guest queries and complaints

Handle guest inquiries in a professional and effective manner

Ensure knowledge of hotel room categories and layout of the property

Ensure good knowledge of Fire, Life & Safety & Health procedures

Ensure knowledge of different offerings at the property

Assisting in the management of guest accounts

Operate the hotel’s Property Management System: OPERA & Micros

Control & plan financial 7 operational; requirements such as, but not limited to:
Cash ups

Stock takes

Linen control

Operating Equipment

Staffing

Restaurant bookings and hotel reservations

Liaise effectively between departments

Improve service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed
