Senior Associate: Corporate Finance, Commercial Banking

**Job Purpose**
- To develop financial valuation models to enable clients to make optimal investment decisions and support the team by providing requisite detailed analyses and documentation (PowerPoint presentations; circulars; announcements) for proposals and transactions; thereby assisting the business in revenue generation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in growing and developing the corporate finance advisory business, covering capital raising, M&A transactions, public-private partnerships, BEE transactions.
- Analyse and assess potential deal opportunities, including preparing and presenting proposals to potential clients.
- Compile pitchbooks and presentation materials for client and internal meetings.
- Perform valuations using technical tools such as DCF, multiples approach, and capitalization of earnings.
- Build robust financial models to support transaction analysis.
- Prepare high-quality PowerPoint presentations for client engagements and transaction execution.
- Manage key stakeholders, understanding their objectives and tailoring solutions to meet their needs.
- Develop alternative deal structures and solutions aligned with stakeholder goals.
- Project manage and implement mandates with clients and transactions.
- Prepare transaction documentation and liaise with legal, accounting, and other professional advisors.
- Support the growth of the investment portfolio by identifying and analysing new investment opportunities.
- Mentor and supervise junior team members, contributing to their professional development.
- Highly proficient in financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of commercial value drivers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or financial advisory is advantageous.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
- Preferred Qualification
- Post Graduate Qualification / CA (SA) / CFA / BCom LLB. / BSc. Engineering / Actuarial Science
- Minimum Experience Level
- 3-5 years experience in a corporate finance environment
