International Procurement/sourcing Specialist

Our client, based in Cape Town, supplies products and services to companies across various sectors in South Africa and other Southern African countries. They want to appoint a Procurement/Sourcing Specialist to efficiently manage and process all enquiries for products from clients in predominately sub-Saharan African countries who are active in the industrial, oil and gas and construction industries.

**Primary Functions**:

- Receive and analyse enquiries received from clients (specification matching, etc.)
- Strategic sourcing of suppliers & products (locally and internationally) via our database, market research, Internet, etc.
- Get all the necessary information including logístical requirements to be able to quote the client utilising margins and foreign exchange conversion. Preparation of quotations & presentations for clients.
- Follow up on quotations done to secure orders, manage all queries and negotiate with clients
- Place and administer orders & liaise with related departments as required for end-to-end delivery (Logistics, Warehouse, Finance, etc)
- Liaison with suppliers to ensure smooth delivery process
- Inspections of products (compliance, quality, packaging, etc,.)
- Management of full administrative functions (Establish Packing List, invoice, etc)
- Regular commercial activity to retain existing relationships and establish new relationships within the industry - local & international travel may be required (Supplier & Client visits)
- Proposal of processes to streamline the Tristan Technical Division to be as efficient and customer orientated as possible
- Reporting on Profitability per Job and for department. Along with other commercial reporting requirements
- Any other duty that is reasonable and relevant to this position

Experience of at least 3 years in a similar role.

Own vehicle with drivers' license.

A minimum of matric/grade 12 while a relevant tertiary qualification would be beneficial.

**Salary**: R28,000.00 - R30,000.00 per month
