**Operations Manager-Assistant: Fresh Produce Distribution Company, Epping Cape Town.**

Reports to: The Operations Manager and General Manager

Responsible for:

- Orders being picked and ready for delivery by the required time
- Quality product at the customers ordered quantities to be checked
- Correct loading of vehicles to ensure no damages and correct times
- Vehicles leaving with deliveries at the stipulated time
- Liaising with customers as to where their deliveries are
- Liaising with the management team as to the daily operational requirements
- Vehicle roadworthy

Staff:

- 5 packers and a supervisor
- 5 drivers
- 3 checkers

Skills required:

- Ability to manage a staff complement of 13 plus
- Good communication skills for staff and management
- Attention to detail
- Computer literate especially on excel
- Problem solving skills
- Initiative
- Flexibility
- Deadline driven
- Ability to work under pressure
- Matric certificate
- Experience or qualifications in Logistics
- Maturity
- Don’t say no attitude
- Drivers license code 08
- Ability to lead people
- Multilingual
- A working knowledge of HR performance procedures
- **Working hours are Monday to Friday 6am to 3 pm with every second Saturday off. Saturdays are 6am to 12noon.**
- **Will be required to work some public holidays**
- **Salary is a competitive market rate depending on experience, starting at R9000 per month.**

**A 3 month contract will be negotiated first.**

Pay: R9 000,00 - R11 000,00 per month
