**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Preferably an honour's degree/equivalent
- At least 5 years' experience of which 4 years would have been in a supervisory capacity
- Ability to represent Academic programmes to potential students
- Strong interpersonal skills and student / client relations
- Strong people management skills
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and in the student / client service spotlight
**DUTIES**:
Primary deliverable is student satisfaction.
**Student Relations (Ultimate outcome is a happy student)**:
- Respond (with reference to course content) to client enquiries and provide detailed and accurate information relating to courses offered
- Interface with potential clients both telephonically and electronically, giving reliable advice on merits of programmes and difference between programmes
- Ensure students are met and adequately situated at the Introduction and Orientation sessions
- Ensure students questions or complaints are timeously addressed and resolved
- Maintain healthy relationship between students and the Academic Delivery Unit
- Ensure there is relevant programme management at the commencement of each programme
- Partake in all Class Representative meetings
**Programme Administration**:
- Ensure the efficient and timeous scheduling and communication thereof of ALL aspects of the programme. (Ensure the timeous dissemination of information to students of important events, e.g. changes to the time-tables, examination venues, etc.)
- Manage registration of students.
- Manage rollover from previous classes
- Effect efficient registration and putting together, desk tents and labels before registration, compiling of course packs and hand-outs for lecturers.
- Work with the lecturers to determine the appropriate study material for the programme
- Ensure and/or coordinate the timeous uploading of course packs from lecturers to the Learner Management Systems
- Ensure the timeous generation of sessional lecturer contracts and facilitate the signing thereof
- Liaise efficiently with Knowledge Area Heads/ Lecturers /Degree Convenors / Internal and External Examiners to ensure smooth running of the programme(s)
- Ensure Learner Management Systems are set up timeously
**Financial Administration**:
- Ensure that each programme has the relevant PADM code
- Ensure the appropriate management and implementation of student bursaries and the payment thereof (Academic Office
**Academic support**:
- Liaise with Degree Convenors and/or Knowledge Area Heads and other lecturers to ensure course pack material is appropriate and timely, and production is of high quality
- Organise syndicate groups and booking syndicate rooms
- Pre-emptively address any problems to students delivery that may stem from lecturers adherence to codes of administrative practice
- Ensure that exam and assignments are provided and arrange invigilator for exams. Ensure that there is internal and external examiners where appropriate
- Liaise with lecturers to provide marks timeously and Check (oversight) final marks on the appropriate systems
