**The opportunity**:
The main purpose of this role is to provide support to the Strategic People Advisor (SPA) by acting as a conduit between the SPAs, business, and HR Shared Services. The role requires the coordination of various role players, information, and requirements to ensure the operational execution of the strategic elements of the HR business imperatives.

**Responsibilities**:
- Compilation of monthly management packs per brand, customizing aligned to strategic objectives (e.g. Purpose work/Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, other)
- Briefing in and coordinating HR business requirements to specialist areas and HR Shared Services (aligned to company strategy). Track progress of initiatives and facilitate a reporting back mechanism for the SPA to relay to business during strategy review.
- Brief in/coordinate business-specific training initiatives between HR Shared Services and Heads of Function.
- Coordinate qualitative feedback on ‘out-of-SLA’ vacancies to enable pro-active reporting and problem-solving at senior levels
- Liaise with HR Shared Services on queries/ themes/ escalations specific to the business (resolve with the service request holder) and provide summarized feedback and resolutions for management meetings
- Ensure execution/ feedback/ investigation of HR actions required based on monthly business management meetings.
- Advise, coach, and guide business on HR processes and procedures.
- Advise Head Office and Field Line Managers on performance management principles prior to them becoming escalated ER issues.
- Compile role-specific induction programmes for Snr Management and ensure coordination thereof (e.g. Head of Appointments)
- Manage and coordinate ‘out of the ordinary HR requirements':Liaise with business secretaries to set up key HR calendar invites (e.g. increase cycle, talent meetings)
- Letter of Appointment exceptions e.g.: sign-on bonus, integration services, probation clause,
- Independent contractors requirements
- Snr Employee Relations support (e.g. enquiry at Head of Function level)
- Compile exceptions that require sign-off from the HR Retail Director
- Represent the SPA when critical business meetings require HR input and the SPA is unavailable
- Management and coordination with HR Shared Services on changes in the business to feed into ORGPLUS
- Assist the SPA with Organisation Development (OD) interventions e.g. structure changes, job profiles
- Collation of information for businesses for Group submission e.g. increases, talent maps, ex gratia payments, promotion lists
- Assist in capturing/collating output information (in a diagnostic format) where the SPA facilitates a business session
**Requirements**:
- HR / Business Related Degree (advantageous)
- Minimum 8 years of functional HR experience
- Demonstrated leadership competencies and the ability to influence at senior levels
- Relevant systems familiarity and experience in a shared services environment are highly desirable
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- High service delivery and performance mindset
