- BTech or first degree Electrical Engineering/Communication
- 5 years post qualification relevant PABX, PAX and copper

network experience
- Valid Code B or EB driver’s licence
- 3 years supervisory/management and communication

experience financial analysis
- Computer Literacy - MS Office Applications
- Supervisory Skills

Key Performance Areas
- Liaises with all Electricity branches to ensure an effective PABX,

PAX, LAN and WAN is delivered
- Coordinates financial functions by assisting the Coordinator:
Telecoms
- Directs and controls all outcomes associated with optimization,

productivity and performance of personnel within the

Communication Network Section
- Designs procedures and control systems to ensure effective

control of communication network processes, including the

commissioning of new plant, networks, plant maintenance

and project management
- Managing the commissioning and the maintenance of PABX, PAX

networks and interface systems
- Manages the implementation of procedures and systems

associated with do document flow and correspondence
- Investigates and evaluates the condition and end of life time

cycles of communication systems in old substations to determine

redundancies and to prioritize refurbishment programs on a

five-year capital investment program
